I also communicated
with people using the useful “text to many” system (not all of which I’ve
kept). The replies say a lot about my
various friends and relations.
Texts 03/04/2025
(Pearl asked when would be a good time to visit and
should she bring chocolate)
07.53 to Pearl – After 3 would be good. Fester normally arrives at 2 but wants to get
away after half an hour.
07.56 to Pearl – No thanks. I’m stowed out with chocolate. He’s good with chocolate.
14.27 Pearl – Oops forgot you don’t do emojis. Thumbs up. xx
15.00 Pearl – OMG, who picked the bus where millions
of school kids got on from Heaton! Took
AGES. Should have waited 10 minutes for
the Haymarket one. Hope visiting time
doesn’t end too soon!!! xxx
16.10 Pearl – I’ve left my hat. Just keep it for me please. I’ve got a spare thanks. Lovely to see you. xxx
18.36 to Pearl – The grapes are gone.
14.21 DrE – How goes it? I had a fall 2 weeks ago. Had wrist xrayed. The xray has just been reported on. Am in oxford for an expensive cavaliers and
roundheads tour with the husband so A&E didn’t appeal. I shall go to A&E when we get back at the
weekend. 2 weeks to report it. NHS on IoW not good!.
16.46 to DrE – 2 weeks? R they still working on
film?
16.57 DeE – Etching in stone.
21.00 to DrE – They should feed the carrier pigeon
better.
17.15 To Many – Emil came today so I went into town,
paid bills in the bank, bought some stuff in Cancer Research, visited the
cathedral and had a nice walk.
Ferretfingers being very patient.
17.21 Mrs Eft – Tell me where I am taking you for
this doo tomorrow so I can look it up on Google maps. xx
17.53 To Many – Things are better here now the vac
machine is sorted/replaced. Night nurses
were back and forth for hours last night.
Finally turned it off so we could get some sleep. Ferretfingers having beefburger, mash &
baked beans for tea.
18.11 Miss Doozer – I need a good rummage round the
charity shops. Burger, mash and beans
sounds like my kind of tea.
18.19 to Miss Doozer – Cancer Research on Grainger
St has all for £5 or less sale on. I
got 3 tops, socks, slippers and stocked
up on birthday cards
Fester was a little disappointed when I told him I
was going to spend Emil’s time with Ferretfingers in town
rather than going home; but I really needed to be out, in the sunshine, doing
my own things at my own pace. Not
dashing and anxious to get there and back.
I also discovered Double Hazelnut Magnums.
The slippers were because the nurses kept telling me
off for walking around in bare feet. I
almost never wear slippers at home.
These are being kept for when I go away.
