Long delay between me picking up and any sort of words.

"Hello this is Steve from BT Openreach and I am ringing you about your internet."

"My internet is not with O2" - forgive me I was half asleep.

"BT Openreach is your internet provider not O2."

"I have nothing to do with BT, neither BT nor O2 provide my internet and do you realise what an ungodly time of day it is to ring anyone in the UK?"

And there he was gone.

And 15.30 phone rings again - 07876637007

Another long delay, then an Indian voice

"Hello. Is this Mrs Bentonbag?"

"Who are you?"

"I am Ruby and I'm calling you about your BT Broadband."

"I don't have BT Broadband"

"We know you don't have BT Broadband at Chateau Midden, you use your local provider."

"No I don't" (Virgin being an international organisation)

And there she was gone ...

I wonder if Ruby knows Steve...
