Under Pressure

Great start to the day!
Thunderthighs screaming because there's no hot water.
Get up and, when I get to the landing, the f*cking ginger pschycocat goes for my leg (and gets out of my way before I can kick the bastard downstairs).
Try doing the reset thing and turning the boiler on and off again.
No joy.
Phone Bob Plumber and leave message on his anwerphone.
Phone Will Fixit to check that Bob Plumber hasn't gone on holiday.
Will Fixit asks for the error code.
E119.
Will Fixit asks about water pressure.
Very low but not in the red.
Will Fixit suggests I do the thing with the 2 taps at the bottom of the boiler to raise the water pressure.
It works!
But I think I shall still have Bob Plumber give it an early service (due in April)
VM  If the water pressure in your area is low the boiler will cut out.  This often happened to me when I lived in Winlaton.  The new owner phoned me before Christmas as it happened again. I talked him through the repressurising process.  It doesn't mean your boiler needs an early service.  If it keeps occurring and none of your neighbours are having problems then do call out a gas engineer.  Two of my nephews are gas plumbers so they talked me through the repressurising process when it first happened to me. Ms Exlibris  Ours does this quite often. I check the pressure every now and again and keep it topped up.
Erica  Mine does it.  I’ve had two parts replaced in the boiler before it’s fixed.
Mrs Leftfoot  Just a normal day then..
Miss Drew  You make me laugh!
Miss Doozer  Ours loses pressure quite frequently. I think it's a feature of condensing boilers as the last one did it too.  I check the pressure every couple of weeks and top it up if needed.
Bentonbag  Himself says "interesting" in an approving sort of voice.*

*Not that himself ever has anything to do with the boiler.
