Just
been to Wilko and Poundworld (Silverlink) seeking yellow wool for Knit &
Natter's next project (Easter ducklings). They both had plenty of wool, just no yellow.
Any
idea why, oh crafty friends?
Suggestions
as to where I can get some welcome.
Also,
if you've any yellow yarn going spare in your wool stash I'd be happy to give
it a good home in LD:NorthEast's craft cupboard.
Oh
and The Niece may have to be unbothered by non-gender-stereotyping. Ferretfingers was with me and immediately
grabbed 3 balls of very pink baby yarn (buy 2 get one free).
He likes pink.*
FifiD I love pink. Glad
to hear he’s in touch with his feminine side xx
Mrs Heath The Range?
Bentonbag There's a thought -
I'll detour there on my way to Wallsend tomorrow. Thank you. Everything ok with you I hope.
🙂
👏
Mrs Heath Yes, thanks Ben,
just getting old and falling apart, lol. If you're going wallsend way could
also try hobby craft at the silverlink, it's over in the new part where next
moved to. Hope you's are all ok. We
should have a fossys reunion sometime xx
Sometime later
Bentonbag Thanks Mrs Heath,
got big balls of Patons bright yellow double knit @£1.99 a ball. Excellent value and quality and the ladies
have made at least half a dozen already.
Mrs Heath That's good, sounds
like you are all having a great time xx
Ms Elswitch Pound shop bottom
of Shields Road? Usually has some in. Cheep cheep (so funny)
Miss Window Also the Grainger
Market has loads of colours!

*The Niece
was pregnant at the time, but the baby’s gender was unknown to us. So Ferretfingers’ insistence on pink wool was
quite prophetic; “psychic Clara” as Mother would have said.
LD:NorthEast
is now so inundated with yarn I’m forced to sell it at craft fairs, or donate
it to other good causes. Mind you, another
of Mother’s sayings was “Refuse nothing but blows” so…
