Fiddler's Elbow

Taking Ferretfingers to the Day Centre I noticed a Fresh Xmas Trees sign so, on the way home, went and had a look.
"£20 pet, sorry we only do cash."
Not carrying that much cash I said I'd be back about 2 and went home to find the husband still languishing in bed (for most of the day).
I had some Love To Shop vouchers (rewards for doing ageing surveys) which I don't really need so, before going home, drove down to the Bay Foodbank and donated them as they'll be able to use them for things like toiletries and treats.
I had a Sainsbury's 200 extra points voucher for The Guardian, so I raided the cash stash and ventured forth for the papers.
Voucher ran out on the 19th!
So I didn't do any more shopping.
The other vouchers run out on 3 Jan and Thunderthighs enjoys going and searching for the various items.
Went and got the tree from Elliots Pet & Garden Supplies, brought it home and it's now in a bucket out the back.
After a short breather for a late lunch I went and fetched Ferretfingers from the Day Centre, calling at the Rising Sun baker's on the way home for the bread.
When we got home I discovered the baker had put four of their lovely mince pies in (as well as the brownie he gives Ferretfingers every week).
In and out like a fiddler's elbow (as Mum would say).
