I’ve been
given 3 bunches of pink carnations and 3 boxes of Thornton chocolate creams
(mint,orange,violet). Yummy Mummy's Day.
Today
I have planted:
Heinz Tomato Ketchup freebie seeds, Sweet Baby tomato seeds,
Alicante tomato seeds, marrow, pumpkin, and butternut squash all in boxes on
the front windowsill (aka the greenhouse);
Tom Thumb lettuce, Rocket and Mr
Fotherington's Asian leaves in a slug protected planter on the garden table;
and cress in an eggbox on the bedroom windowsill.
If all goes too well I may be
looking for homes for seedlings in a few weeks’ time.

believe tomato ketchup can be grown from seeds. Does it grow actually in the bottles?

The warm weather has made the frogs really jiggy.
There are 7 clumps of spawn, the most we’ve ever had.
Mrs Quilt is coming over to take a cupful for
her water-feature.

We
no longer plant tomato seeds but get plants at local allotment sales. That way we don’t have an excess of seedlings
to deal with, and the plants we get are varied and healthy.
