When The Second Lockdown Loomed

From Facebook Archives

2 November 2020
Oh dear.
Ferrretfingers’ respite weekend at Whitley BayCaravan Park won't be happening because Parkdean Holidays are going into lockdown.  Sad but understandable.
They also run Cresswell* and were friendly but stringent about covid precautions and safety.  And of course they have their staff and their families to think about too.
Disappointed but not surprised.

Bugger.

Poor Amanda (who arranges short respite breaks) at LDNE has a lot of unhappy phonecalls to do today.  She's promised to try and get somewhere if/when this lockdown is unlocked.

On the upside Thunderthighs informs us he may be going into college on Monday mornings.  He is very Covid compliant, wearing his mask and washing and sanitising his hands wherever and whenever he should.  I think he likes having his face hidden.

Also - 4 pots of garlic planted and we are thinking of collecting the seed pods off the bolted radishes.

And Hextol have just rung to say they are satisfied that they are Covid compliant so his work experience on Fridays is not affected.

*In the five minutes between the first and second lockdowns, when we were allowed to go away, we stayed at Cresswell Towers Caravan Park.
Here are the blogs written at the time.
