We are regular visitors to the St Oswald’s Hospice Shop, usually dropping off things for the rag-bag but I always have a good rake around and usually come home with something.

Facebook Archives…
Went
into St Oswald's Hospice Shop today and there was an alarm going off.
The
manageress was on the phone to an engineer
"I cannot find where it's
coming from. It's not the burglar
alarm. It's not the fire alarm. It's not the fuse box.
I've tried everything. You've got to come down because it's been
like this all morning and we can't carry on like..."
At
that point the alarm stopped
"Oh
great. What did you do?"
Then
it started again.
A
man who was going through one of the baskets of
bits said "I think it's something in here because it stopped when I
shifted something, and then started again."
He dug down to the bottom of the basket and found
... a battery powered smoke alarm.
Who
donates a smoke alarm to charity?
Mrs
Banjoman You
would be surprised at the stuff we get; and then have to throw away.
Woolerwoman
That's weird!
