Panurus biarmicus

(Google it)
Fester is an entomologist (Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society) who specialised in carabidology and coleoptera.
His hero is Charles Darwin, who he has emulated in more ways than one.  He once discovered a beetle new to science which is named after him.
Once upon a time I made him a sleeveless fairisle inspired pullover with motifs of ground and water beetles.
We had great fun finding and adapting picture references of the various beetles to put on graph paper to create the motifs.

"So that's why you have a v-neck" says
Dr Fester "you fill it with beard."

Hisself comes downstairs, into the kitchen then into the living room (where I'm trying to excavate to the top of the coffee table)

"Where's the paper?"

So I go to out the recycling bin just in case I've absent-mindedly put it in.

There on the top is the Journal.

"No that's yesterday's. I just put it in."

I check the date and say "Today's Tuesday" and hand it to him.

Then after breakfast we're discussing something and

"... that's ok I've got to go down town to a meeting tomorrow."

"Your meeting's Thursday.  Tomorrow's Wednesday.  You've got to be in for the sweep and the fridge coming."

Literally doesn't know what day it is!

Bess Cavalier  Neither do I sometimes and I'm still working for a living!
Woolerwoman  Should put a knot in his beard for each day!
