Late today as we had a "9am be here by 8.30" appointment at the FreemanHospital for an MRI scan on Ferretfingers’ ankle.  

For those not already in the know the wound keeps getting infected and we need to make sure there isn't something happening around the plate and pins or whether it's only skin deep.

I was up at 7 to get him up and ready to leave the house at 8 so we had time to walk across.  Lovely morning for a walk and we discovered that there is now a back entrance which meant it took slightly less time than anticipated.

Ferretfingers was brilliant and lay beautifully still (mostly) with his bottom half in the doughnut for about half an hour.   

He had earplugs and ear defenders.   

I sat in with him with ear defenders too.  

Lots of loud mechanical and electronic noises.

We got the bus home but with the 10.10 No52 not arriving and the 10.14 No18 coming after quarter past it would have been quicker to walk.

He's now off out with Emil for a quick swim.

Fester is off to the railway station for a respite almost-weekend with Conway.   

Before he went out he asked Ferretfingers if he had an A-Z or other map of Stockport and/or Manchester.

Of course he did.   

The next thing I heard was Fester promising to give it back when he gets home.

I'm looking forward to two silent nights.
