Running Repairs

A mound of clothing in need of repair or recycling has grown on top of the sewing machine cabinet.
In the past fortnight Ferretfingers has kitformed two worn out pairs of joggers and underpants, and three tee-shirts; laying the remains gently on the heap with “Mummy will make more facemasks."
He’s only got twelve so far.

This afternoon I got out the sewing machine and:-
put a patch inside a tear on one of Fester's favourite shirts;
reattached waistbands on 2 pyjama trousers and 2 pairs of Thunderthighs’ boxers;
repaired the seams on 6 pairs of Ferretringers' underpants,

repaired the side and sleeve seams on his raincoat and reattached one of the pockets,

repaired his favourite bumbag reattaching the strap.
Domestic goddess or what?!

McChurch  Huh. .....and you can`t even put in a zip fly. Huh, again!
Benonbag  I have put a zip in something I've made (corduroy culottes 1980s) but that's a world away from replacing one in a pair of jeans.  Worth £8.99 to have someone else do it properly (Golden Stitch, New Bridge Street)
Mrs Leftfoot  What.
The Late  Saint Ben of the repaired togs!
