Out last
night with Pearl and friends to see And Then There Were None at the People's
Theatre.
The darkest Agatha Christie and
very well done, seeing as the whole of the action was restricted to one room.
Fester
now has a hacking, productive cough.
He
must feel bad as he's put off going to the Mining Institute until next week.
After
taking Ferretfingers to the doctors again with his ankle (more Fluoxicillin)
and the Gary Mather centre, I popped into Tesco Norham Rd on my way home and
had a good drag around their Sale, Reduced to Clear and Best Before bits.
The cashier was impressed "You've saved
more than you've paid."
Apart from
Lemon Tea there was nothing at full price. The haul included three 3X cotton t-shirts at
£3 each, one 3X Guiness Toucan t-shirt for £5, three rolls of sellotape for the
price of two, two A5 sprial bound notebooks for birthday/Xmas gifts for Fester
and six items for tombola prizes and two packets of posh biscuits for the WI
do.
Thunderthighs was a little put out that I did a 'big shop' without him;
until I explained it wasn't the sort of shopping trip he'd enjoy, and I'd feel
uncomfortable having a good rake around while he was waiting tapping his feet.
If only his father was as considerate when it
comes to food shopping on holiday.
How
long does it take to choose a bit of meat?
I've given up and now stay in the car unless
absolutely necessary.

There's a
good chance Ferretfingers will have respite on the first weekend of May.
Which
means himself and I could go out TOGETHER on Saturday 3rd May.
I'm not
opening a book on it though...
