After Sainsbury's to Currys/PCWorld for a new tv/dvd player for Thunderthighs.
I'm in the office with Fester and loud swearing comes from the loft as he crawls around the floor removing and shoving in plugs etc.
Something comes rolling down the stairs.
I express my determination not to go up and help.
There is the call for help so out I go and discover his giant teddy (won at a school raffle) upside down on the staircase.
I upend Hamish and go up.Thunderthighs is sat on the bed, the tv is on but he doesn't understand the installation opening page menu.
“No idea. Have you looked at the instructions?”
"What instructions?"
“See that plastic bag with a booklet in; those instructions.”
The booklet is drawn out and I muse that LCN might mean Logical Channel Numbering.
He is pleasantly surprised that it does and proceeds to follow the installation instructions.
I return to the office.
Eventually he comes down, takes Hamish back up and comes down again with the old telly, remote etc. including the instruction booklet. He is advised to keep it just in case.
As we are putting the box of recycling in the garage he says
"There's two ways of doing things: the wrong way and the Great Western Railway way."
Mrs Lasange Well done for working it out. Happy new television day Thunderthighs xx
