I was very proud of getting the strawberry halves set out so perfectly on the
top of the trifle.

Autumn is definitely here.
Mrs Quilt's marital quilt has been carefully folded and
stored until next Spring, and the duvet put back on, and Ferretfingers has
requested his double duvet back. Although he is lying on it with his single
duvet over him (?)
Oh and the call came from the attic last night
"Mother - it appears I have
torn another pair of pyjama trousers."

Third batch of apple jelly on the
boil (9pt jelly 7lb sugar)
The question is: can I get another two batches of apples boiled, mushed, sieved
through a pillowcase and boiled up before Will Fixit gets back off his
honeymoon and starts to work on the inside of the kitchen?
The
Squireen Good luck, he may
turn up tomorrow or some time weeks away!
Bentonbag He'll have a hard
time turning up tomorrow as he doesn't fly home from Prague until Thursday (at
the earliest). Mind you Benjamin was
supposed to be putting the slates on on Monday and so far no sign - so
Operation Kitchen Roof is in limbo until that happens.
Bess
Cavalier I've got a very nice recipe for cidered
apple jam if you want it - absolutesly no sieving!

Great!
Not only has Thunderthighs torn another pair of trousers (not pyjamas) but the
pocket on the front of his hoody is half off and he wants me to sew it back on.
