End-of-the-reel Photo

I could find nothing in the archives for today.

Then this morning I opened Facebook Memories and discovered this.
Easter must have been fairly early in 2016 if Mothering Sunday landed on 6th March
(this year Mothers’ Day is the 27th – put it in your diaries children)

6 March 2016
Phil took this end-of-the-reel (kiddies ask your parents) photo at the end of a trip to Blodfa, possibly in 1991, as we were about to set off to drive back to Benton.
Nice one of me and Mum for Mothering Sunday.
But notice Dad is holding my right hand; undemonstrative, quiet and strong.

PS I made that pinny she's wearing out of an old dress home-made by Bigsister (Niece take note):  recycling and upcycling nothing new in this family!  I still wear it, although it's almost worn through in places now.

Tylebach Mawr  Lovely photo and your dad looks the true gent, and still the smartest postie that ever was!
Bentonbag  Polished his shoes every day he was able and the only times he didn't wear a collar and tie was when he was fishing or gardening. He would glower at the clip you see on some postmen these days. He did a good glower did Dad.
Cousin Daisy  What a joy to see "wor rellies " again happy happy times xx
