One snail plucked off the purple sprouting broccoli, five frogs in the pond and something scurrying in the undergrowth. Starry sky and faint scents of lilac and honeysuckle flirting with the cool dry night air.
Mrs
Banjoman Oh
how I wish the lilac lasted longer. The
scent is gorgeous.
Our honeysuckle is a
late one and usually hangs over next door so we get very little benefit. But our slugs and snails seem down this year. Have found a few shattered shells though so
maybe a thrush has been helping us out.

I think I've
managed to get a cutting off mine. It's
only a couple of inches at present but you're welcome to it.
Mrs
Banjoman A
cutting of what exactly? If it’s a slug,
please don’t bother.

Honeysuckle -
and I've far more tomato seedlings that we need.
Mrs
Banjoman We
have a very Odd shaped plot I.e. we are on the corner and when we plant things
like honeysuckle they tend to gravitate towards our neighbours who have the
light. But thanks for the offer. Enjoy yours. This time of year is great for scents in the
late afternoon and evening. And we are
blessed (note the annoying Americanism that seems to infect a lot of posts
these days) with a plethora of birds. And
the resulting poop, obs..x

Fester and I
took our coffee in the garden yesterday evening and a bird pooped on him;
fortunately he was shirtless so it just wiped off. That's what you get for sitting too close to
the tree holding the birdfeeder.

Mrs
Banjoman That
is supposed to be a hat. I am not very good with emojis.
Just cannot be bothered to put in the time I’m
afraid to say.

He has a wipe
clean head. A hat would require washing
- and guess who'd end up doing that?
