Things feels strange. Ferretfingers got himself up at 6.30, Thunderthighs at 6.45 and by the time I came down at 7.25 they were both dressed and breakfasted.

Usually I spend the first half hour of my day cajoaling, nagging and threatening to sing to get them up and ready.

Ferretfingers's breakfast today?  

Four Greggs jam doughnuts left out in the kitchen.  Yesterday, two Bounty bars filched from his father's chocolate stash.

This afternoon I hear a loud FFFUUZZUUTTH noise from the kitchen.  The fan oven has gone phut.  Not as loud a sound as when the ring of the old one went one Christmas morning.  The top oven and hob are still working though.

Really really wish the cat would stop sitting on the digital radio and changing channels.

I was just getting into the interview on Radio 5 Live and suddenly it's Stravinsky's Rite of Spring!

And now it's BBC Radio Newcastle - 1970s stuff - unexpected treat - that cat's not so bad after all ....
