Getting Dressed

Ferretfingers activities are restarting and he will soon (fingers crossed) be back into the routine of going out on Thursday and Friday mornings with his LD:NorthEast outreach worker.

Ferretfingers is not a morning person (except at weekends when he’s up at 6.30 to deafen the neighbours with kids tv) and getting him up and ready takes considerable nagging.
On Thursday morning it took two verses of Bread of Heaven to get him out of bed.
His first port of call is the loo and I got myself showered and towelled during the time he was in there.
I then supervised his teeth cleaning and both of us went to get dressed.
After some minutes his father got out of bed, trotted to the loo, then went to check on how Ferretfingers’ dressing was progressing.
“For goodness sake boy!  Don’t just sit there watching tv and fiddling with you radios!  Get dressed ..”
To which our normally non-verbal son shouted back
“Will you please Shut Up!”
Anything that gets him talking is ok by me.
Fester bimbled back into our bedroom grumbling
“He’s just sat there with nothing on but a tee-shirt …”
All well and good, except he himself was stark bollock naked at the time.
