Houston we have a problem.
Ferretfingers appears to believe
all the things we've organised for him (outreach worker on a Monday, Rising
Sun, day centre) are instead of school/college.
Thus he has no intention of doing them "in the holidays".
The day centre sent out a form
asking which days people want to go/not go over the next fortnight. He was determined to not, so I agreed to
that. Now he's talking about not going
out with his outreach worker or to the Farm.
Well at least he's talking ....
Miss
Doozer Ah.
Welcome to the world of work, young Sir 😀
Mrs
Taxi Could
you tell him he has so many days holiday per year like workers get and get him
to plan them on a planner, just an idea x
KA We had
this misunderstanding with our lad for a little while....now he understands all
committment with comes with the territory. Good luck with it.x
Mrs
Leftfoot Another
day, another challenge.... X
Mrs Quilt I
think a year planner would be a good idea.
Mrs Allotment
Still have this problem 4 years after leaving college! Asks every 'holiday' if he will have to do
washing, shopping, housework etc., and if i do persuade him to meet with his
support workers I generally get calls from them to say he won't do anything,
hasn't turned up or won't let them in. The rest of the year he's a top man.... but
breaking this one is a toughie. Good
luck, and happy Christmas to you all x
