Cucumber

Our front bay window is South facing and, on sunny summer’s days, can become uncomfortably hot.  I have taken advantage of this by growing tomatoes in pots on the windowsill.  This gives us two benefits: a living blind which helps keep the front room at a comfortable temperature and a supply of tomatoes through August and September.   

 Sometimes I also grow peppers and a few years ago Bazoukiboy gave us a couple of spare cucumber plants.

And here, just because I promised Tyle Bach, is our first ever home grown cucumber.  Not sure why Fester is looking so pleased with himself he had nothing to do with it.

Thanks Bazoukiboy for the plants - if you want a taste of the cucumber get over here quick before we have it all - lovely and sweet.
