Fester and I spent many happy hours selecting and finding reference images of appropriate beetles for this sleeveless pullover. I adapted them for, and transferred them onto graph paper to create the ‘motifs’ to knit into the pullover. I’m not sure whether this counts as Fair Isle or a picture jumper or both.

Fester
models his entomologically inspired sleeveless pullover.
There are six different beetles depicted: four ground beetles on the green background
and two water beetles on the blue stripes.
It's amazing what you can do with a bit of graph paper
and some inspiration.
