I planted
ffa (broad beans) in the raised bed made from an old drawer divan.
They came up but then all these potato plants
appeared and loads of comfrey seedlings.
The ffa threw in the towel.
I told Fester (whose first degree was in
Agriculture) we were going to have to dig out the bed to get rid of the tatties.
"Not worth it, they'll all be tiny marbles."
This afternoon Ferretfingers and I ripped out
all the comfrey, dug out all the compost and harvested the spuds.
There are about 10lb in this trug.
Not bad seeing as we didn't plant them and
they've come from rogue volunteers.
