Blogging Milestone

According to the counter this is my 1000^th blog on this platform.

I started on 10^th May 2016 with The First Tale Of Chateau Midden.

My blogs were fairly irregular until Ferretfingers broke his ankle.  I used Tales of Chateau Midden to get news of his progress to friends and family by sending them a link to the blog. 

It also helped to have somewhere to vent my feelings about the situation.

As he recovered the unpleasantness of 2020 and subsequent lockdowns came upon us. 

Someone made the mistake of commenting on how much they looked forward to reading the blog. 

Knowing how hard it is to feel alone I promised myself I would try and blog daily to keep all our chins up during awkward times. 

Apart from when I’ve been poorly or away I think I’ve managed it.

Now I’m hooked.

Most days I find something useable in my Facebook archives, others I have to exercise my creative juices and write something from scratch.  The latter is getting more frequent as time goes on and more and more of the archives have been used.  But don’t worry, I keep adding to them.

So far there have been 80,906 viewings of the blog, that’s an average of 81 views per blog.

This average was skewed by someone last July sharing the link on twitter so that one blog got six hundred viewings.

The blog with the least views was New Image posted on Monday, 11 June 2018 https://bentonbag.blogspot.com/2018/06/new-image.html, with a puny 15 views.
